Qubo Adds AI Guard to Security Cameras and Dashcams, Launches New 2K Dual-Channel Dashcam

Qubo, the smart devices brand from Hero Group, has announced new security camera and dashcam products with its AI Guard technology at Qubo Connected World 2026. The company says AI Guard is designed to help its cameras move beyond passive recording and offer more active security features such as person detection, threat alerts, automatic alarms, and cloud backup.

Alongside the AI Guard rollout, Qubo has also launched the Dashcam Pro 2K Front + Rear Cam, a dual-channel dashcam aimed at users who want both front and rear video coverage.

Qubo also said it crossed ₹350 crore in annual revenue in the last fiscal year and has sold more than 2.5 million devices since inception. The company also claims to have reached over 1.5 million users in India.

Qubo AI Guard: What It Does

The main announcement is AI Guard, Qubo's proprietary AI-based security layer for its cameras and dashcams. According to the company, AI Guard can detect people and potential threats, automatically trigger loud alarms, securely back up footage to the cloud, and take proactive action when required.

The idea is to make security cameras more preventive rather than purely reactive. Most conventional home cameras and dashcams are still used largely to record footage that can be checked later. With AI Guard, Qubo is positioning its devices as tools that can alert users and act during an incident.

"At Qubo, we’ve always believed that technology should solve real-world problems in meaningful ways," said Nikhil Rajpal, Founder and CEO, Qubo. "With AI Guard, Qubo Security Cameras are now designed not just to record, but to protect."

AI Guard will be built into all Qubo security cameras and the company's connected Dashcam 4G Live. Qubo also said that its entire dashcam range will be upgraded to support AI Guard over the next few months.

Qubo Launches Dashcam Pro 2K Front + Rear Cam

Qubo also introduced the Dashcam Pro 2K Front + Rear Cam. The new model brings a dual-channel dashcam setup, which means it can record both the front and rear view of the vehicle.

The Dashcam Pro 2K records in 2K Quad HD resolution and comes with features such as a supercapacitor and collision detection G-sensor. These are useful additions for Indian driving conditions, where heat resistance, parking incidents, and reliable evidence capture have become important factors for dashcam buyers.

The launch also gives Qubo a wider play in the dashcam category. Front-only dashcams are still common in India, but a front-and-rear setup makes more sense for users who want fuller coverage, especially in cases of rear-end collisions, parking damage, or disputes on the road.

Qubo's Bigger Smart Security Push

Qubo is positioning AI Guard as the next step in its smart security journey. The company says its focus is shifting from connected devices to devices that can actively protect people, homes, and vehicles.

"Hero Electronix was founded with the belief that Indian innovation can create world-class technology experiences," said Ujjwal Munjal, Vice Chairman, Hero Electronix. He added that Qubo's move from connected devices to AI-powered protection marks an important step in building intelligent products for safety, convenience, and peace of mind.

The broader positioning is clear. Qubo does not want to be seen only as a smart camera or dashcam brand. It is trying to build a connected security ecosystem for Indian homes and vehicles, with AI becoming the key differentiator.

What Qubo's AI Guard Push Says About Smart Security Devices

Qubo's latest announcements show where the smart security category is heading in India. Security cameras and dashcams are no longer being pitched only as devices that record footage for later. Brands are now trying to make them more active, with AI-led detection, alerts, cloud backup, and automated responses becoming part of the core feature set.

That also changes what consumers should look for while buying these devices. Resolution and storage still matter, but features such as person detection, alarm triggers, reliable cloud backup, heat-resistant components, and front-and-rear dashcam coverage are becoming equally important.

For Qubo, AI Guard also gives it a clearer way to connect its home security and mobility safety products under one umbrella. The company's pitch is now less about connected devices and more about AI-powered protection across homes and vehicles.
