The long wait for the next Avatar video game is finally over. Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has officially launched after over two years since the first announcement. The latest video is available on multiple platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, and PCs. Three different editions offer different perks based on how much you are willing to spend. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Released
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person, action-adventure game set in the open world of the Western Frontier of Pandora. Gamers will get to play as an orphan Na’vi who was abducted and trained by the Resource Development Administration (RDA) to serve them. However fifteen years later, you will be free and get a chance to reconnect with your heritage and birthplace. Your goal will be to join hands with other clans to protect Pandora from the RDA.
On your journey to become a true Na’vi, you will get a lot of customization opportunities for your character. You can craft new gear and upgrade your skills and weapons as the story proceeds. Since it is a video game based on Avatar, you will get to bond with your banshee. You can then not only travel across the West Frontier by air but can also participate in aerial combats with the RDA.
In terms of weapons, your character can choose to fight using traditional Na’vi weapons like bow and arrow and spear. You can also switch to more destructive weapons like shotguns and assault rifles, thanks to the human training you received during your time with the RDA. The game also has a multiplayer co-op mode for those who prefer that.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Editions and Download
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is available in three editions: Base, Gold, and Ultimate. Each edition comes with a different set of perks and is priced accordingly. You will get the base game and an exclusive Aranahe Warrior pack with every edition on PlayStation 5. Check out other benefits in the image below.
The game is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PCs. It also had a Child of Two Worlds Pack pre-order bonus featuring a cosmetic set and a weapon skin. However, since the pre-order window is now over, you will not receive it with the game anymore.
Ubisoft has announced Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has a Day 1 patch which is mandatory to install to play the game. It means you will need to connect to the internet once to download the patch. Once downloaded, you will be able to play the game offline except for the co-op mode.
