The boAt Smart Ring was announced in India last month, a fitness-tracking ring that helps you measure your physical activity. The product has gathered massive attention because of its features which include heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep tracking, and more. boAt has now officially revealed the pricing and availability of the boAt Smart Ring in India.

boAt Smart Ring: Price and Availability in India

The boAt Smart Ring is priced at Rs 8,999 in India. It is available in three diameter sizes: 17.40mm, 19.15mm, and 20.85mm. However, it only offers a single colour option which is metallic silver. The boAT Smart Ring will be sold on Amazon and Flipkart, starting from August 28.

Buyers can also avail a 7.5% discount using ICICI and HDFC cards on Amazon. Yes Bank customers can also avail Rs 500 discount on EMI transactions on Amazon. Note that these bank offers are currently only available on Amazon, and not on Flipkart.

boAt Smart Ring: Specifications

The boAt Smart Ring is aimed at users who wish to track their workouts and physical activities, without having to wear a smartwatch. The ring has a combined finish of metal and ceramic, for a premium look and feel.

Here are some key highlights of the features of the new boAT Smart Ring

  • Step Counting
  • Physical Activity Monitoring
  • Blood Oxygen Level (SpO2) Tracking
  • Sleep Tracking (REM, Deep, Light)
  • Heart Rate Monitoring
  • 5 ATM Water Resistance
  • 20+ Sports Modes in the boAt partner app

The boAt Smart Ring is a battery-powered device and comes with its own proprietary charging dock. The company says that the ring has a battery life of 7 days, but individual mileage may vary depending on the usage.

This new smart ring can be considered an affordable version of the Ultrahuman Ring, which retails for over Rs 20,000. However, Ultrahuman’s Ring also offers blood glucose monitoring, and hence that ring belongs to a different niche.

The affordable pricing of the boAt Smart Ring can attract more users to try the ring form factor as a fitness tracker. There is a significant market for users who wish to track their activities, but prefer a classic watch on their wrist instead of fitness tracking bands and watches. Hence, the boAt Smart Ring comes as a good hybrid solution, offering best of both worlds to such users.

Currently in India, the boAt Smart Ring and the Ultrahuman Ring are the only two products of their kind. While Ultrahuman is developing products to help people monitor their blood glucose levels, boAt is focused on bringing new products to the masses at affordable rates.
