Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’ Director’s Cut is set to be the next AAA title release on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The game’s release was announced in September 2023 and supposed to arrive by the end of the year. After a slight delay, the much-awaited game for Apple users is finally confirmed to arrive next week. The best part is buyers can grab it at a discounted price during the pre-order period.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut for iPhone, iPad, and Mac: Release Date and Price

Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be released on iPhone, iPad, and Mac on January 30. This is the official release date as per 505 Games. But the App Store listing mentions it as January 31 for some reason. The game can be pre-ordered for Rs 1,999 which is 50% cheaper than the actual price once it launches.

The game will retail for USD 39.99 (about Rs 3,324) after the pre-order window ends. We do not know the official final pricing for India yet but considering the pre-order price, it should be around Rs 3,999. The best part is it supports universal purchase. It means you need to buy it only for one device and you can play it on any other supported Apple device.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut for iPhone, iPad, and Mac: Supported Devices

Death Stranding Director’s Cut will run on iPhone models powered by the A17 Pro chipset or higher. It means you can play the game only on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. As for the iPad and Mac, the game requires at least an Apple M1 chipset.

The software requirement is iOS 17 or higher for iPhone and iPad. It should be at least macOS 12 for Mac devices. App Store has listed the download size of 69.8GB. This is not surprising considering the quality of visual graphics and everything else the game has to offer.

Sony Death Stranding

This is the second AAA title to land on Apple devices after the Resident Evil 4 release last year. That title also supported universal purchase which is appreciated by buyers. Apple’s processors for iPhones are known to be among the most powerful ones in the market for a long time. In an attempt to show their true power and potential, the company has started focusing on the gaming aspect as well.

This is the reason Apple talked at length about all the AAA titles that would be supported by the new A17 Pro chipset. It comes with a new hexa-core GPU that claims to deliver 20% faster performance than before. The next AAA game coming to iPhone should be ‘Assassin’s Creed Mirage’ but we have no official word on the release timeline yet.
