In the game, you get to play as an assassin named Colt who is stuck in a time loop on the island of Blackreef. Your goal is to assassinate eight targets called visionaries within 24 hours but if you fail to do so, the time loop will reset and you will have to start again. The added challenge to your goal is an agent named Julianna whose goal is to protect the time loop.
You will have to learn from each attempt by trying new paths, gathering intel, finding new weapons/abilities, and learning the patterns of targets. It is the reason the game comes with the tagline, “If at first you don’t succeed… Die, die again.”
