HTECH confirmed the arrival of eSIM connectivity for HONOR 90 5G smartphone.
The device has received Jio eSIM connectivity after 4 months of debut.
HONOR is yet to bring Wi-Fi calling to the Jio mobile network on the HONOR 90 smartphone.
Madhav Sheth, CEO of HTECH, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the brand is rolling out eSIM connectivity for HONOR 90 in India, starting with Jio. This functionality was previously unavailable on the smartphone. HONOR hasn’t yet mentioned whether they’d be collaborating with other network providers in India in the upcoming months.
Sheth shared two images to show a functioning HONOR 90 smartphone with Jio’s eSIM connectivity. The second image shows that the eSIM can be used in tandem with a physical SIM card. Honor’s eSIM supports both 5G and 4G networks. For additional context, HONOR is yet to bring 5G Wi-Fi calling to the Jio mobile network on the HONOR 90 smartphone.
