Honor is rumoured to return to the Indian smartphone market in September with the Honor X90 series. The company has not officially commented or confirmed any details about the same. Meanwhile, the former Huawei sub-brand has quietly launched a new Android tablet in India. Honor has unveiled the Pad X9 as its new budget Android tablet. It features a massive display and comes with some value-for-money hardware.

Honor’s new budget tablet under Rs 15,000 is a successor to the Pad X8. The Android tablet has a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC under the hood along with a fairly large battery. Let’s take a look at the Honor Pad X9 price in India, specifications, features and other details.

Honor Pad X9: Price in India and Specifications

The Honor Pad X9 is a new Android tablet under Rs 15,000 in India. The company has launched the tablet with a single storage configuration. The Pad X9 has been launched in India with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs 14,499 in India.

The tablet will be available in a single Space Grey colour. It will be available for purchase from August 2. Customers can currently pre-order the Pad X9 on Amazon India.

In terms of hardware, the Pad X9 features a metal unibody design. The tablet has a curved surface design and is also quite thin. It measures about 6.9mm in terms of thickness and weighs about 495 grams.

On the front, there is a massive 11.5-inch display with a 2K resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has fairly thin bezels for an Android tablet. Honor claims that the device offers an 86 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The tablet’s display offers 400 nits of peak brightness and 100% sRGB colours. It has a front camera at the top centre of the longer bezel, which makes it ideal for video calls. For an immersive multimedia experience, the Honor tablet also features as many as six speakers.

Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC with an Adreno 610 GPU. The tablet also offers up to 128GB of internal storage with 4GB of RAM as a sole option. There is support for virtual RAM up to 3GB as well.

The Pad X9 has a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It runs on the latest Android 13 software and has MagicUI 7.1 on top. Users can take advantage of the large screen with features like multi-window, floating windows, etc. There is also support for Google Kids Space. In terms of battery, Honor has packed a beefy 7250mAh cell. There is no word on any fast charging support. The tablet has a USB Type-C port, support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.
