Huawei recently confirmed that it will be holding a launch event in China on March 25 to launch three new devices. The company will unveil the Enjoy 9S and Enjoy 9e smartphones along with the MediaPad M5 Youth Edition tablet next week. Ahead of the event, we have obtained press renders as well as the specifications sheet of the upcoming Huawei Enjoy 9S.
Huawei Enjoy 9S Specifications
As can be seen in the renders below quite clearly, the Huawei Enjoy 9S will feature a U-shaped notch at the top, housing a single selfie camera. The bottom ‘chin’, however, appears to be slightly on the thicker side. Moving to the back, we can see that the smartphone has a total of three camera sensors on the back. In addition to a triple-camera setup, the Enjoy 9s will also have a circular fingerprint sensor at the rear. The Enjoy 9S actually appears identical to the Huawei P Smart+ (2019) launched earlier this month.
In addition to the design, the Enjoy 9S will be nearly identical to the P Smart+ (2019) in terms of hardware specifications as well. The Huawei Enjoy 9S will arrive with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD display featuring 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it will run on a 12nm HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core chipset with four ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. In the memory department, Huawei’s upcoming Enjoy 9s will come equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. A more expensive variant with 128GB of internal storage will be available as well.
At the rear will be a triple-camera setup with a 24MP primary sensor, 16MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front will be an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls. While the resolution of the front-camera may not sound particularly impressive, the smartphone is expected to come with improved AI-powered beautification features. Fueling the whole package will be a 3400mAh capacity battery. In terms of software, the Huawei Enjoy 9s is likely to ship with Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 out of the box.
