Huawei Mate X2, the Company’s Next Foldable Phone, Shows up on TENAA Alongside Another Mysterious 5G Phone

Huawei seems to be gearing for the launch a new foldable smartphone called Mate X2 which is going to be the successor of the original foldable phone. The alleged smartphone is now spotted on China’s TENAA certification website revealing some of the features of the phone. According to the report from Gadget360, the smartphone is listed with model numbers TET-AN00 and TET-AN10. Earlier the smartphone with same model numbers was surfaced on 3C (Compulsory Certification of China) website.

The upcoming Huawei Mate X2 is tipped to launch with 5G connectivity and 66W fast charging support. Meanwhile, along with the foldable phone, there is one more Huawei phone that’s spotted in the TENAA listing.

The report suggests that one more smartphone with model number CDL-AN50 is listed on TENAA website. The alleged Huawei Mate X2 phone with model numbers TET-AN00 and TET-AN10 received the TENAA certifications on November 17, 2020. The listing also claimed that the smartphone will arrive with dual-SIM support and 5G connectivity except the listing didn’t reveal anything about the display, camera, and battery specifications of the phone.

According to the report, both the model numbers listed on TENAA are anticipated to be affiliated to Huawei Mate X2. The smartphone is speculated to launch with dual display feature similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. The report further suggests that the phone might sports a 120Hz refresh rate display and powered by HiSilicon Kirin 9000 SoC. On the connectivity front, it is rumoured to offer Wi-Fi6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Huawei Mate X2 is said to run on Android 10 on top of EMUI 11.

Next to the Mate X2 listing, there is one more phone from Huawei which is surfaced on TENAA website. The smartphone surfaced with a model number CDL-AN50 and also support 5G connectivity. There is no clue about the name of the phone but TENAA listing revealed that the phone will feature a 6.5-inch display with dimensions of 162.31×75.0×8.58mm. The listing also suggests that the phone will be fuelled by a 3,900mAh battery and offers dual-SIM support.
