Indkal Technologies has announced its foray into the TWS (truly wireless stereo) category with a new brand, Wobble. The Wobble TWS lineup includes four models. The devices will have features like DAT (Dynamic Audio Tuning) Chip, 3D virtual surround sound, and more.

The Bengaluru-based consumer electronics appliances company said in a press release that its Wobble lineup of earbuds will come with a sleek and portable frame design. The Wobble TWS series is aimed at users with active lifestyles as well as for day-to-day usage.

Wobble TWS Series Price And Features

The Wobble TWS is priced starting at Rs 1,199 in India. The earbuds can be bought in two colour options – black and white. The devices will be available for purchase via retail sites in India from December 10.

The DAT chip on the earbuds is said to offer enhanced audio processing and voice-control features. Meanwhile, the 3D virtual surround sound makes the listening experience more immersive for users. The earbuds sport an IP55 rating, which means they are resistant to water and dust.

Wobble Beans TWS Launched In India

The Wobble Beans model features a 12mm driver unit and will offer 35 hours of playback on a single charge. More features include ultra-low latency mode, support for Bluetooth version 5.3 with instant Fast Pair functionality, ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), and Dynamic ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation).

Wobble Beans also offer intuitive touch controls to let users easily manage their music and calls. The TWS also supports fast charging, which is claimed to offer 100 minutes of music playback with 15 minutes of charge.

TWS Category In India Grew 46.7% YoY In 3Q23: IDC

The TWS category is booming in India, which has led many consumer electronics brands to launch their wireless earbuds in the market. According to a report by market research firm IDC (International Data Corporation), the TWS segment in India showed strong growth in 3Q23 (third quarter of 2023), with the third quarter being considered from July to August.

Within the earwear segment, the TWS segment captured a 68.4 percent share, which is a growth of a whopping 46.7 percent YoY (year-on-year). The price is also a crucial factor to consider, which also contributes to the growth of this category. The ASPs (Average Selling Price) for TWS in the quarter were at US$19.5 (approximately Rs 1,619), which is a decline of 17.1 percent YoY.

boAt Leads TWS Market With 37.9% Share

Imagine Marketing’s boAt captured 37.9 percent share in 3Q23 when it comes to the TWS market in India. The company showed a yearly growth of 33.3 percent, when compared to 3Q22.

The biggest YoY growth was registered by Boult Audio at 387.7 percent. The brand took the second position overall in the TWS category with a market share of 8.6 percent in 3Q23. The third spot was taken by OPPO, which also includes OnePlus products, with 8.0 percent market share (30.4 percent YoY growth).

The fourth largest TWS brand in India is Nexxbase’s Noise with 7.7 percent market share, while the fifth spot was grabbed by Samsung, which also includes JBL and Infinity products with a market share of 3.5 percent.
