  • The upcoming Infinix Note 40 Pro series will have 20W magnetic wireless charging.
  • It will work just like the MagSafe charging on iPhones.

Infinix is all set to unveil its latest Note 40 series smartphones in India next month. While the exact launch date is still under wraps, the microsite for the lineup is already live on Flipkart. Today, the company has confirmed that the upcoming lineup will have a 20W magnetic wireless charging solution, which Infinix likes to call “MagCharge technology.”

It will work just like the MagSafe charging solution that we have for iPhones. Interestingly, the Infinix Note 40 Series will be the first Android phone series to have this feature. Here’s everything you need to know.

Magnetic vs. Regular Wireless Charging: What Sets Them Apart?

Regular wireless charging involves placing your device directly on a charging pad or stand. The pad has a coil that creates a magnetic field and when your device’s coil picks up that field, it turns it into electricity to charge the battery. It’s a straightforward process but requires precise placement of your device. The biggest problem with standard wireless charging is that once the device is moved even an inch, it stops charging.

Magnetic wireless charging solves that problem. Instead of just placing your device on the charging pad, it uses magnets to help align your device correctly for charging.

Although both approaches eliminate the requirement for cables, magnetic wireless charging often delivers an efficient and faster solution thanks to its secure attachment mechanism.

Infinix Note 40 Series: Everything We Know So Far

The upcoming lineup is expected to feature four devices: the vanilla Infinix Note 40, Note 40 Pro 4G, Note 40 Pro 5G, and Note 40 Pro Plus 5G. All four models come with 20W wireless and 100W wired charging tech. Infinix will also introduce MagCharge accessories like Mag case, Mag pad and Mag power in India.

The company has already unveiled these devices in the Malaysian market, shedding light on almost everything about the upcoming lineup. Check out the details below.
