Infinix is all set to launch a new Smart series handset – the Infinix Smart 8 HD in the Indian market. As per the announcement, the Infinix Smart 8 HD will debut on December 8 in the country. A few days before the launch, Infinix revealed that its upcoming Smart series smartphone will be sold exclusively via Flipkart in India.
The brand also divulged that the Infinix Smart 8 HD will be priced under Rs 6,000 in the Indian market. To recall, the company had launched its predecessor, the Smart 7 HD, at an introductory price of Rs 5,999. Let us take a closer look at the details.
Ahead of Infinix Smart 8 HD India launch, which is scheduled for December 8, a micro-site has gone live on the Flipkart, which reveals some of the key details about the upcoming handset. This also means that the Smart 8 HD will be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD will be sold in four colours – Crystal Green, Shiny Gold, Timber Black, and Galaxy White. The smartphone will feature a timber texture finish as per the company. Infinix also confirms that the upcoming Smart series handset will offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that will double up as the power button. The smartphone will also offer software-based face unlock.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD is confirmed to feature a 6.6-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel on the Smart series handset will have an HD+ resolution and will support 500nits brightness. The Smart 8 HD will accommodate the front selfie shooter inside a centered punch hole notch. Infinix claims that the Smart 8 HD will be the first device in its segment to offer a 90Hz punch-hole display.
Infinix Smart 8 HD will also feature Interactive Magic Ring feature which is an implementation similar to that of Realme’s Mini Capsule. With this feature, the Smart 8 HD can show useful information such as Low Battery Reminder, Face Unlock Amination, Charging Status, and more in a pill-shaped pop-up around the camera cutout.
