iPad Air M1 India Price Hiked by Apple Soon After iPad Pro M2 Launch

Apple has launched the new iPad Pro lineup with an M2 chip. The new M-series chip is found in the Apple MacBook Air M2 and the MacBook Pro 13-inch. Apple’s new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models get the new M2 chip along with a bunch of new upgrades. The company also introduced the new iPad 10th-generation with a USB Type-C port and an A14 Bionic chip. Following the launch of the new iPad, Apple has also quietly increased the price of the iPad Air M1.

The iPad Air M1 was launched earlier this year in India. Apple launched the new Air M1 tablet in March for Rs 54,900. It came with WiFi and Cellular models in India. Let’s take a look at the new iPad Air M1 new price in India, specifications and other details.

iPad Air M1 Price Hiked in India

The iPad Air M1 was launched at a starting price of Rs 54,900 in India. Following the launch of the iPad Pro M2, the Air model is available for Rs 59,900. The base model packs 64GB of internal storage and offers Wi-Fi connectivity. If you want the cellular variant with 64GB of internal storage, you will have to shell out Rs 74,900. Prior to its price hike, the M1 Air Wi-Fi + Cellular model was available for Rs 68,900 in India.

The M1 Air iPad model continues to be available in Space Grey, Blue, Purple, Pink and Starlight colours.

Compared to the 10h-generation iPad, which is priced at Rs 44,900 in India for the base 64GB model, the iPad Air supports the second-generation Apple Pencil and has a more powerful processor. The M1 chip has an octa-core CPU with four performance cores and an octa-core GPU as well. The iPad 10th-generation, on the other hand, has a six-core A14 Bionic CPU with four efficiency cores and two performance cores. The A14 Bionic also features a four-core GPU.

Both Apple tablets are claimed to offer up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi and feature a USB Type-C port. They feature a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera. The 10th-generation iPad has the front camera on the right bezel (top bezel when used in landscape mode), whereas on the iPad Air, the front camera is at the top bezel).

Both tablets come with a dual-speaker setup and Touch ID authentication. While the iPad 10th-gen comes with iPadOS 16 out of the box, the Air will get the update on October 24.

iPad Mini, iPad 9th-Generation Price Hiked Too

Apple also increased the price of the 2021 budget iPad, which is now available for Rs 33,900. The 64GB storage variant was launched for Rs 30,900 in India. The iPad Mini, on the other hand, starts at Rs 49,900 as opposed to its launch price of Rs 46,900.
