All iPhone 12 series devices pack a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), which gets accompanied by another 12MP sensor which is an ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture, and 120° field of view.

The telephoto lens enables up to 2x and 2.5x optical zoom on iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max respectively. iPhone 12 Pro series devices also get a LiDAR scanner which Apple had first introduced with the iPad Pro 2020. The LiDAR sensor helps with night mode portraits enabled by LiDAR Scanner.
