iQOO 11 Series, iQOO Neo 7 SE Launch in China Postponed

iQOO 11 launch event has been postponed. The company took to Weibo to confirm the launch of its new flagship smartphone series in China. The iQOO 11 5G and the 11 Pro 5G were slated to debut on December 2. However, the devices will be launched at a later date. iQOO was also expected to launch its new flagship phone in Malaysia. It is unknown if the Malaysian launch has had an impact following the change in the event plans for the Chinese market.

Alongside the iQOO 11, the company also confirmed to postpone the launch of the Neo 7 SE, which was slated to debut at the same event. Let’s take a look at more details about the cancelled December 2 iQOO event.

iQOO 11, Neo 7 SE Launch Postponed

The wait for the new iQOO 11 flagship smartphone series and the Neo 7 SE will be a bit longer than expected as the company has postponed the launch. The new launch date is unknown at the moment. iQOO did not reveal the reason behind the postponement of the launch. The company only revealed that the new launch date will be announced soon. “We regret to inform you that the new product launches of the iQOO 11 series and iQOO Neo7 SE will be postponed. We will notify you as soon as the new release date is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and support,” iQOO posted on Weibo.

The devices could be unveiled in December 2022. We can expect the launch date to be announced in the next few days.

The iQOO 11 series is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The devices will also feature UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. In addition to this, iQOO revealed that the phones will sport a triple-camera setup. The iQOO 11 series will also get a V2 custom ISP for improved video recording in low light and portrait mode.

On the front, the iQOO 11 and 11 Pro are said to sport a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate support. There will be a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the 16MP front camera. The 11 Pro will have a curved display, whereas the 11 5G’s display will remain flat.

On the back, the iQOO 11 Pro is said to sport a 50MP f/1.75 primary Sony IMX866 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 150-degree fisheye lens and a 13MP portrait sensor. The vanilla model, on the other hand, will feature a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera.

In terms of battery life, the 11 Pro will feature a 4700 mAh unit with support for 200W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The iQOO 11 5G will pack a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Both devices will run on the latest Android 13 update out of the box. They will feature a layer of Origin OS Forest on top of Android. The India and Global variant will come with a layer of Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.
