iQOO 8 May Launch in India Late October or Early November With Snapdragon 888+, 2K Display and More

iQOO might launch the iQOO 8 Legend smartphone in India later this month or in early November.

iQOO launched the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro smartphones in China last month. Both these devices feature top-of-the-line specifications and they come with a triple-camera setup. Now, it looks like the brand is prepping up for the launch of the iQOO 8 Legend smartphone in India soon. 91Mobiles claims to have learned from industry sources that iQOO will launch the iQOO 8 Legend smartphone in India later this month or in early November. As of now, iQOO has not revealed the India launch date of the iQOO 8 Legend. Considering that iQOO iQOO 7 Legend was a rebrand of the iQOO 7 Pro, we can expect iQOO to debut the iQOO 8 Pro with the iQOO 8 Legend moniker for the Indian market.

iQOO 8 Pro Specifications, Features

Since iQOO has already launched the iQOO 8 Pro and vanilla iQOO 8 models in China last month, we already are aware of the specifications of these devices. As mentioned above, the iQOO 8 Pro might launch in India with the iQOO 8 Legend moniker. As of now, the brand has not any smartphone with the iQOO 8 Legend moniker. Speaking about the specifications of the iQOO 8 Pro model, it comes with a 6.78-inch 2K Samsung E5 AMOLED display. The display panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support, Dolby Vision, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 517 PPI. The device under the hood is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The smartphone packs up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

In terms of imaging, the device features a triple-camera setup on the back that includes a 50MP primary camera (Sony IMX766V sensor), a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP tertiary camera. For selfies and video-calling purpose, the device sports a 16MP front camera. The smartphone packs a 4500 mAh battery that has 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.  Connectivity-wise the smartphone has dual-SIM card slot, 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the software front, the smartphone boots Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0 out of the box
