Reliance Jio has launched True 5G services in India this month, and the telco has announced its new Jio 5G Welcome Offer that promises similar benefits for existing Jio subscribers, who are being picked via a special invite system in select cities for now. Jio 5G Welcome Offer will be available for its subscribers in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and a few more.

Jio claims that its 5G network offers the True 5G experience because it has deployed and invested in the standalone 5G technology, allowing the telco to operate its network without any dependence on the existing bandwidth.

What is Jio 5G Welcome Offer

Jio 5G Welcome Offer is Jio’s latest offering for users to experience its new True 5G network service in the country. Jio has a history of bringing the Welcome Offers, which was also available during the time when the 4G service was launched in 2016. Jio 5G Welcome Offer comes with special benefits that can be availed where the Jio True 5G network is available and its 5G service is operational. Jio 5G Welcome Offer will give users unlimited data with speeds up to 1Gbps+ as informed by the telco.

Jio True 5G Plans

Jio True 5G Plans have not been revealed yet, and Jio says that its service will be offered to select Jio users via a special invite system.

The company at the moment has confirmed that customers getting exclusive invites to participate in beta trials in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi can enjoy unlimited 5G data with up to 1Gbps speeds. Reliance also confirmed that beta test users could continue to avail of the beta trial until the network coverage of a city is substantially complete.

Jio is likely to share details about its True 5G plans in the coming weeks when the network is widely available and more people have got a taste of its high-speed internet connectivity.

How to Get Invite for Jio True 5G

Jio True 5G network will work for people in four cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi – initially, and you need a 5G-enabled smartphone with support for Jio 5G network to use its service. Jio users can check if they have got an invite to experience the Jio True 5G network by going to the MyJio app, logging in using their mobile number (or getting SIM-enabled auto sign-up) and you will know if the 5G service is available for your SIM. You can also go and register your interest to use the Jio True 5G network and if all the conditions to use 5G on your phone check out, Jio will provide you with an invite to use its 5G service.

If you have got the invite to use the Jio True 5G network then without changing the SIM you will be able to use the Jio 5G service on your 5G smartphone. In general, as well, Jio users do not have to change their existing 4G SIM to use the Jio True 5G network on their compatible devices.

Jio True 5G has launched in the beta avatar, which means the operator is catering to limited cities with its 5G service for now. Jio True 5G is available in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi and Kolkata right now. Eligibility to Get Jio Welcome Offer

Jio has announced that Jio Welcome Offer is available to all Jio customers who have 5G-network compatible devices. Users who are in Jio 5G-network coverage areas most of the time and those that are on a valid active plan of Rs 239 or higher for pre-paid and all postpaid users are eligible.
