The Lenovo Legion 9i has launched in India as the latest gaming laptop from the brand. Notably, the company launched the world’s first AI-tuned gaming laptop globally in September last year. Lenovo is marketing the latest launch as the “gaming studio in your backpack.” The new launch flaunts several cutting-edge features like a dedicated AI chip, an integrated liquid cooling system, and a durable forged carbon chip-patterned lid. Lenovo Legion 9i Price in India, Availability

The Lenovo Legion 9i has been launched at a starting price of Rs 4,49,990 in a single colour variant – Carbon Black. Interested buyers can pick it up from Lenovo.com, Lenovo Exclusive Stores, leading e-commerce websites, and other offline retail stores across the country.

The laptop features the Legion Coldfront integrated liquid-cooling system, which enables the 16-inch Legion 9i to offer a maximum of 230W TDP. The integrated cooling system, which has been co-engineered with the Cooler Master, turns on when the GPU touches 84°C. The system runs over the GPU VRAM to keep the heat under control during demanding gaming sessions.

The cooling system is further backed by an AI-tuned, triple-fan air-cooling system with over 6,300 individual intake vents. To counter the weight of the laptop, the brand has equipped the Legion 9i with a forged carbon chip-patterned lid. 

Speaking of gaming, the Legion 9i is powered by the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processor accompanied by up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. The processor and GPU are further backed by either 64GB 5600Mhz dual-channel DDR5 RAM or 32GB 6400Mhz DDR5 dual-channel RAM. Additionally, Lenovo is offering up to 2TB of PCIe (Gen 4) SSD storage.

As for the display, Lenovo’s Legion 9i flaunts a PureSight 3.2K Mini-LED 16:10 Display with a 165Hz variable refresh rate. It comes with an option for creators to switch between DCI-P3 and sRBG color spaces. Other features of the display include a 94% screen-to-body ratio and Smart FPS to track frames per second and adjust CPU and GPU automatically to offer maximum FPS no matter the gaming scenario.

There’s also a Lenovo LA-2 AI chip, which syncs the RGB strips around the keyboard, in per-key RGB Lenovo TrueStrike keyboard, bottom cover, and Legion logo on the top cover with the visuals on the display for an immersive experience. The laptop is powered by a 99.99Whr battery and boots Windows 11 out of the box. It also comes with a 3-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The wireless connectivity options on the laptop include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. In terms of I/O, the Lenovo Legion 9i features two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C, two Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2,1, an SD card reader 3.0, an audio jack, and DC IN. There’s also a full HD camera with dual mic onboard.
