In the last couple of years, there has been a significant rise in the number of handheld gaming consoles released. The only thing is you cannot get your hands on them officially in India barring the Asus ROG Ally. All other offerings like the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck need to be imported. However, if a fresh finding is anything to go by, Lenovo’s Legion Go could become the next handheld gaming console to release in India. Here is everything that we know so far.

Lenovo Legion Go India Launch

As per a tweet shared by experienced video game journalist and industry insider Rishi Alwani, the Lenovo Legion Go handheld gaming console could launch in India in March 2024. The timeline is based on the information shared by Lenovo Legion India’s customer support with a user Shanthosh Somasuntha (@SSomasunthar).

The screenshot shows Shanthosh asking Legion India about the Legion Go availability in India through Instagram. He received the following response from the company, “The Legion Go laptop is expected to launch in March 2024. Stay tuned for updates and be the first to discover what’s coming next by following our pages!”

If the above-shared information is correct, we are barely three months away from the Legion Go launch in India. One important thing to note is that the customer support executive referred to the Legion Go as a “laptop”. It is unknown if it is an innocent mistake on the executive’s part or if he is referring to a different product. Since it is very unlikely Lenovo would launch two different product categories with the same name, we are inclined to believe that was a mistake.

Another thing to keep in mind is that even if the shared Legion Go launch timeline is correct, it is still three months away and plans can always change with time. For example, there could be a delay or the launch could get scrapped altogether. It is the reason we would suggest you do not get too excited about the launch just yet.
