Polestar is foraying into the smartphone business with an attempt to develop an ecosystem and offer a seamless integration with its EVs. In the latest development we have spotted the upcoming Meizu Polestar Phone on the Google Play Supported Devices list which suggests that Polestar’s first smartphone will debut soon. Let us take a closer look at the details.

The Google Play Supported Devices listing reveals that Polestar’s first smartphone will carry the moniker Polestar Phone. The listing also reveals that Meizu is the manufacturer for the upcoming handset which the company has already revealed. Apart from this, the listing doesn’t reveal other details such as model number or specifications of the upcoming Polestar smartphone.

Polestar, a few weeks back, shared the glimpse of its upcoming handset which revealed a flat display with a centred punch hole notch. The Polestar Phone as per the teasers will have a flat metal frame and will arrive in a white colour option.

The Polestar Phone teasers also revealed the presence of a triple-rear camera setup with each lens enclosed in a separate circular ring. The primary shooter on the Polestar Phone will have 23mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.9 aperture. The company will also offer a telephoto lens with 70mm equivalent focal length and an ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.4 aperture.

The Polestar Phone is expected to be a flagship smartphone and we can expect it to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processor. However, the Polestar Phone will likely remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
