Honor has unveiled its latest Play series smartphone – Honor Play5. The Play 5 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 5G processor. Honor Play 5 Price
The Play 5 retails in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The smartphone will start rolling out in China starting May 26th. Lets us take a look at the pricing,
The Honor Play 5 features a 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone has a tiny waterdrop notch up top that houses the front selfie shooter. The display also houses an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the phone sports an octa-core MediaTek Dimnesity 800 SoC, built on a 7nm fabrication process. The smartphone gets 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The smartphone boots Android 10 based Magic UI 4.0. The Play 5 lacks Google services, so it’s unlikely that the smartphone will launch outside China.
The Play 5 offers a quad-rear camera setup with an LED flash inside a squircle module. The primary sensor on the device is a 64MP sensor that gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP B&W depth sensor. The smartphone also offers a 16MP front shooter for selfies, and video calls.
The Play 5 packs a 3,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It also has a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 5G, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. The smartphone measures 161.6×74.8×7.46mm, and weighs 179grams.
