Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 16 series later this year and we have a plethora of rumours around it. Now, the dummies of the upcoming iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max have been shared on X, which reveal their display and design. Here’s a look at the details.
iPhone 16 Series Design and Display Size (Leaked)
The pictures of the dummy models of the upcoming iPhone 16 series reveal that the iPhone 16 Pro and the 16 Pro Max will come with a bigger display as compared to their predecessors. The 16 Pro could have a 6.3-inch screen size while the 16 Pro Max will go for a 6.9-inch display.
The vanilla iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus smartphones will continue to sport 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED panels. However, there will be a change for the vanilla and Plus models.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will sport vertically-placed dual rear cameras as opposed to the diagonally-arranged setup. This is very similar to the iPhone 11 and 12 design, except, the iPhone 16 design shows cameras enclosed in a pill-shaped setup and the LED flash will be placed outside it. This change could facilitate spatial video recording capability.
In contrast, Apple will continue to equip the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with a design similar to the existing iPhone 15 Pro series smartphones. The vanilla iPhones are also tipped to sport the Action Button found on the iPhone 15 Pro series. The 16 Pro models could have a new Capture button along with the Action button. The iPhone 16 series is also expected to come with capacitive buttons
The battery size of the iPhone 16 series was leaked recently, revealing that all models will sport a larger battery, except for the 16 Plus. The iPhone 16 Plus is said to sport a 4,006mAh battery, which is smaller by 8.6% as compared to the iPhone 15 Plus. Apple will equip the iPhone 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max with 3,561mAh, 3,355mAh, and 4,676mAh batteries.
We can expect the 2024 iPhones to come with several camera and performance upgrades, along with new AI features with iOS 18, expected to be announced at WWDC 2024.
