The next-gen OnePlus flagship OnePlus 12 keeps appearing in leaks and rumours every now and then. We have already talked about its key specifications and even high-quality renders. The flagship is slated for a December launch in China which is still a couple of months away. It means we are likely to see more leaks by the time it launches officially. The latest leak has revealed a few more details and corroborated previous claims related to the upcoming smartphone.

OnePlus 12 Tipped to Feature Wireless Charging, Faster USB Speed

Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, has shared on Weibo that the OnePlus 12 will come with USB 3.2 support. This will be an upgrade over USB-C 2.0 support available on the current-gen OnePlus 11 5G. It will allow users to enjoy faster data read and write speeds which is specifically beneficial while moving large-size files.

Another noteworthy change is that the OnePlus 12 is tipped to offer 50W wireless charging. The OnePlus 11 offers various premium flagship features but misses out on wireless charging. It is something you do not find on premium Android flagships and it is good to see OnePlus changing its approach as well.

The tipster corroborated the previous claims of the OnePlus 12 featuring a periscope telephoto camera. Another reliable tipster Yogesh Brar aka @heyitsyogesh has shared camera specifications. The OnePlus 12 is said to have a Sony IMX966 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 84-degree FoV, and 23mm focal length. There will be a Sony IMX581 wide-angle sensor f/2.2 aperture, 114-degree FoV, and 14mm focal length.

The third camera would be an OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor with f/2.5 aperture and 33-degree FoV. The lens is said to offer 3X optical zoom, 6X in-sensor zoom, and up to 120X digital zoom. This is a huge upgrade over the predecessor which could offer only up to 2X optical zoom. The leaked camera specifications are in line with what we reported previously.

The OnePlus 12 is even said to have the infrared remote control functionality. It would allow users to control various electronic devices like TVs and air conditioners through the smartphone. Since it is a flagship smartphone, it is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

OnePlus has already confirmed its partnership with BOE for a new display that will launch this week. This new display is rumoured to have a 2K resolution and 3,000 nits peak brightness. This would make it the brightest smartphone display and it will make its debut with the OnePlus 12. It is said to have a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery capacity could be 5,400mAh along with 100W wired fast charging support.
