Realme GT 2 Pro Leak Reveals Key Specifications, Price, Nexus 6P-like design

The Realme GT 2 Pro is reportedly the first smartphone to breach the 1 million mark on Antutu, and could be more premium than predecessors.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is reportedly set to launch in early 2022. Now, a 91mobiles report has showcased what the smartphone may look like from the rear. According to the report, the smartphone appears to feature a design akin to the Google Nexus 6P smartphone made by Huawei in 2015. The latter was the last of Google’s Nexus branded Android smartphones that were typically made in partnership with a third party OEM.

Realme GT 2 Pro: design and expected specifications

According to the latest report, the Realme GT 2 Pro appears to feature a more premium overall design in comparison to its predecessor, the original Realme GT series. The device has a raised horizontal bar at the top that will reportedly house three rear cameras. In the renders, the bar looks rather large, and it is not yet clear if this could pose a hindrance to the overall ergonomics of the smartphone.

In terms of specifications, the Realme GT 2 Pro will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, which is apparently set to be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The latter could be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and according to reports, the smartphone has already breached the 1 million milestone on the Antutu benchmarking platform.

Other key specifications reportedly include a 6.8-inch WQHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, which may sport a cut-out for the front camera. The latter could feature a 32MP sensor. To the rear, the GT 2 Pro may feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera with macro mode, and an 8MP telephoto camera as well. This setup could be accompanied by a dual flash module, along with a GR lens coated to minimise ghosting and flares.

The battery capacity of the upcoming smartphone has not been reported yet, but it is tipped to offer 125W fast charging. The smartphone is also expected to run on Android 12, with the Realme UI 3.0 custom interface on top. The smartphone may cost almost $799, or approximately Rs 60,000 – in which case it would clearly be more premium than before.
