Vivo X100 Pro+ to Offer 200MP Telephoto Camera With 10X Zoom
Starting with the leaked Vivo X100 Pro+ schematic design, it gives us an idea of what the smartphone would look like. It shows the alleged smartphone will have a punch-hole display with minimal bezels. The back panel has a huge circular camera module featuring four camera sensors. There is T* Zeiss branding on the module confirming the continuation of the collaboration between the two brands.
As for specifications, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is tipped to sport a 6.78-inch OLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The choice of processor is said to be the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It is rumoured to be one of the first smartphones to offer LPDDR5T RAM. There will be UFS 4.0 onboard storage for faster data read and write speeds.
It is the camera department that will surely catch everyone’s attention. The X100 Pro+ is said to feature a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS, a 50MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX758 portrait sensor, and a 200MP Samsung HP3 telephoto periscope sensor with 10x zoom. The latter seems to be the first real-world application of the approach Samsung talked about recently.
The leak does not mention details about the front camera. The smartphone is said to be powered by a 5,400mAh battery. The good thing is it will reportedly have 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging support. It will also have an IP68 dust and water-resistance rating as well as an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The rumours have suggested the Vivo X100 series will launch in November in China. To be specific, it is expected to go official on November 17. The global launch of these smartphones is said to happen soon after but an exact date has not been mentioned yet. Similarly, pricing details for the three smartphones are unknown but we may hear some details as the event gets closer.
