Samsung has officially showcased the Galaxy Ring at the ongoing MWC 2024 event. The new wearable is confirmed to launch later this year. The smart ring was announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January during the launch of the Galaxy S24 series. Here’s a look at the new details.

This Is the Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung hasn’t revealed much about the Galaxy Ring’s features and specs but has shown the wearable in all its glory. The Galaxy Ring is seen with a metallic build and appears lightweight, which will be critical to make it easier and more comfortable to wear 24×7. We expect the smart ring to come in varying sizes.

As for the health features, the Galaxy Ring works in sync with the Samsung Health app and will provide access to heart rate monitoring, spO2 tracking, and stress management. As per an image shared by Samsung, the smart ring will also help manage stress and track steps, calories, and distance.

With Galaxy Ring, users can embrace an unrivalled experience during every step of their wellness journey, all while being delivered in lockstep with Samsung’s broader vision for a more connected, integrated and seamless digital wellness platform,” Dr Hon Pak, VP & Head of Digital Health Team, MX Business at Samsung Electronics, said.

Samsung is also expected to introduce a few Galaxy AI features to its smart ring to bring AI across its portfolio. It started with the Galaxy S24 series and eventually got introduced to the Galaxy Buds and even the new Galaxy Book 4 series. The Galaxy smartwatches will get Galaxy AI, too.

More details about the Galaxy Ring should be out soon. It is expected to launch alongside the 2024 Galaxy foldable phones and the Galaxy Watch. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
