After a long wait, Zynga has announced a global release date for Star Wars Hunters. The free-to-player third-person competitive multiplayer shooter will launch on June 4 for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. The pre-downloads are live now.

The developers have also released a cinematic trailer. Star Wars Hunters bring gladiatorial combat to Vespaara after the Empire’s fall. Players clash in 4v4 battles from a third-person view across four modes, including capturing zones in “Control” (seen in the new trailer) and escorting objectives.
Speaking of the game’s modes, Teams will clash in a fast-paced race to 20 eliminations in “Squad Brawl.” Strategic thinking comes into play in “Dynamic Control,” where teams vie for control of four rotating capture points. “Power Control” raises the stakes, requiring teams to hold captured points to secure victory. Finally, “Trophy Chase” throws a unique objective into the mix – the coveted TR0-F33 droid. The first team to hold this droid for a cumulative time, reaching 100%, claims victory.
While the full character list of Star Wars Hunters remains under wraps, the latest trailer hints at the inclusion of all previously revealed fighters. The game includes 13 characters at launch, including Utooni, Jawas duo, droid-manipulating Mon Calamari, Rodian cartel doctor, J-3DI, and Slingshot.
Star Wars: Hunters unveils more than just its launch date. The announcement spotlights the in-universe show’s charismatic hosts: Boz Vega, a decorated former Hunter, and LX-1, a droid programmed for gladiatorial expertise, who will preside over the “Hunters of the Outer Rim” broadcasts “live on ORSN across the holonet.“
Star Wars: Hunters was first announced in 2020 with a late 2021 target release. After generating initial excitement with trailers showcasing characters and gameplay, the game underwent a lengthy development cycle with a soft launch in select regions in 2021.
The game is currently in the pre-registration phase for Android and Nintendo Switch and the pre-registered users will get a Raise Your Fist emote, Amber Hunter, Amber Rifle, Bubo’s Blue Milk, and Ticket Invite Avatar as perks. Star Wars Hunters is currently available for iOS devices in India.
