Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone was launched back in 2020 and now the company has confirmed that the smartphone is going to receive the latest Android 11 update. The news is confirmed by a Nokia staff member via an official community post. According to the post, the company will dispatch the Android 11 update in various batches to ensure a smooth rollout. 27 countries are going to receive the update in the first wave. India is not in the first list of countries, but the update is expected to hit India in the upcoming waves. Here’s a closer look at the Android 11 update.

“10 percent of these approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50 per cent by Feb 5th, and on Feb 7th, 100 percent of these markets will have received the Android 11 update.” reads the official community post.

The company also confirmed the second wave of the Android 11 update for Nokia 8.3 5G. It has been reported that the company is likely to include India in the second round of updates. According to the company, the update will bring features like improved media controls, conversation bubbles, and screen recording feature. The one-time-permission is also said to be improved with the latest Android 11 update.

  • First, you need to head to the setting menu on your Nokia 8.3 5G.
  • Now select the About the Phone option.
  • Click on System Update and select Check for Update.
  • If the update hits your phone then you will be able to download and install it, or else you have to keep coming back for checking the update.
