Nothing Phone 2a launch in India is just around the corner as hinted by the brand. While Nothing didn’t specify the device, it did announce that ‘something is coming this week‘ through its X.com account bio. Taking the series of leaks and BIS certification listing spotted recently, it would be safe to assume that the brand might launch the Nothing Phone 2a in India this week.
While not many details are known about the upcoming device yet, the Phone 2a is expected to be a more affordable variant of the Nothing Phone (2). The new Nothing Phone 2a will be the third smartphone offering from the brand in the country. Let’s take a look at all that we know about the yet-to-be-released mid-ranger from Carl Pei’s ambitious brand.

Nothing Phone 2a Could: Launching in India Soon?
Nothing hints at a new product launch, could be Phone 2a.
As you can see in the images above, Nothing recently posted a cryptic post on its X handle, urging users to check its bio. In its profile, the brand changed its usual bio to ‘Something is coming this week.’ Considering the fleet of rumours and the BIS listing of Nothing Phone 2a, it is safe to assume that the brand is gearing up to launch its third smartphone. This has also been corroborated by the popular tipster, Ishan Agarwal.
Nothing seems to be drawing inspiration from Google’s naming pattern for its smartphones as well with a flagship number series and an affordable mid-range A series of smartphones. Not much is known about the upcoming launch apart from a few leaked specs, model number, and the transparent design.

A new leaker named Sanju Choudhary revealed several specs and details of the upcoming device. According to the tipster, the Phone 2a will bear the model number AIN142. The tipster also shared that the upcoming smartphone will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. If the smartphone is an affordable variant, we can safely assume that it won’t have the LTPO panel that the Nothing Phone (2) comes with.
The phone is rumoured to come with a 50-megapixel dual camera setup on the back with OIS support for the primary sensory. On the front, the Nothing Phone 2a is tipped to feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Choudhary also confirmed that the smartphone will boot Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14 and will be powered by a 4,920mAh battery. There’s no word on the processor but it will be safe to say that the phone will come with a mid-range Snapdragon or MediaTek Dimensity SoC.
