Nothing has revealed the name of its next smartphone, which will be called the Nothing Phone (2a), as rumoured earlier. The information was shared in the first community update for 2024. It is revealed that the Phone (2a) comes with the codename Aerodactyl and will reach India, as confirmed via a microsite on Flipkart.

Although a launch date isn’t known yet, we expect this to happen sometime around MWC 2024. The Phone (2a) will “leverage some of the most loved Phone (2) features while ensuring a clear upgrade compared to Phone (1) on every front.” To recall, Carl Pei had previously teased the device. Its moniker was recently confirmed through TDRA certification with the model number A412.

The smartphone is expected to be a toned-down variant of the Phone (2), which launched a few months ago. The micro-site of the smartphone is live on Nothing’s and Flipkart’s websites.

While there are no confirmed details, the Phone (2a) could be the first Nothing phone with a MediaTek chipset.
