Nothing is expected to announce the Nothing Phone (2a) smartphone at the MWC event later this month. The device will also launch in India in the coming few days. The handset is confirmed to go on sale in India via Flipkart, considering that the e-commerce portal has made the microsite related to the device live ahead of the launch.
Recently, hands-on images of the smartphone were also revealed by a user on Reddit. Additionally, we also saw the new renders of the device coming in courtesy of folks at Smartprix. Now, in a recent development, the Nothing Phone (2a) has received the NBTC certification in Thailand.
The NBTC certification listing reveals the moniker as Nothing Phone (2a). Furthermore, the certification also confirms the model number of the device as A142. Lastly, the listing reveals that the device will offer 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G support. Besides, the model number, moniker, and connectivity details no other specifications of the handset is revealed by the NBTC certification.
Past leaks suggest that the smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the software, the device could run Android 13 out of the box. The smartphone is expected to feature Dimensity 7200 SoC. It will likely feature a 50MP dual-camera setup. On the front side, the smartphone is expected to feature a 32MP camera.
The newly leaked renders also suggest that the device will have a transparent back panel similar to the Phone (1). However, the smartphone won’t feature a wireless charging coil and there won’t be LEDs for a Glyph interface.
