  • The brand Nothing will reportedly not expand to the premium smartphone segment.
  • The company is, instead, focusing on setting its foot strongly in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 segment.

Nothing is expected to launch the Nothing Phone (3) soon. A new report by 91mobiles Hindi, citing an industry source associated closely with Nothing, claims that the Nothing Phone (3) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

The report further claims that the Nothing Phone (3) price in India will be around Rs 40,000-45,000. This should be the pricing of the base variant of the upcoming Phone (3). The 91mobiles report also suggests that the company is focusing on strongly establishing itself in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 segment and has no immediate plans to expand to the premium smartphone category.

The Nothing Phone (3) will arrive as a successor to the Phone (2), which debuted in July 2023. With the Nothing Phone (2), the company decided to go with the Snapdragon 8 series processor, and as a result, the Phone (2) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. To those unaware, the company used upper mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ on the Phone (1).

Nothing isn’t using a flagship processor on the Nothing Phone (2), and based on the report, the company will follow the same route for the upcoming Phone (3). Instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the company might favour the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a processor between the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Nothing recently launched its first mid-range handset, the Nothing Phone (2a), and is gearing up for the launch of the Nothing Ear (3). While the company hasn’t dropped a teaser about the Phone (3), based on the Phone (1) and Phone (2) launches, we can expect the Nothing Phone (3) to launch in July.
