Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 12GB RAM Listed on Geekbench Ahead of December 26 Launch

Nubia is all set to launch the Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro smartphone on December 26 in China. The upcoming Nubia flagship was recently spotted on the TENAA certification website which revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming gaming flagship. The Redmagic 8 Pro has also been spotted on Bluetooth SIG and MIIT certification websites in the past.

A week ahead of the official debut, we have now spotted the Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro on the Geekbench benchmark database. The Geekbench listing for the Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro confirms that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Apart from it, the benchmark listing also confirms some of the key specifications of the upcoming Redmagic smartphone. Let us take a closer look at the details.

Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro (NX729J) Geekbench

The Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro with model number NX729J made an appearance on the Geekbench 5 benchmark database. The upcoming Nubia flagship scored 1499 points in the single-core round of the Geekbench 5 test. Whereas, in the multi-core round, the score was 5193 points. The listing further reveals the presence of an octa-core processor with codename kalama and 3.19GHz peak frequency.

As revealed in the Geekbench listing, the processor being used on the Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro will feature a 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration and will come coupled with an integrated Adreno 740 GPU. This means that Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Also, as per the listing, the smartphone will be available in a 12GB RAM variant. We can also expect Nubia to launch it in 16GB configuration considering the Redmagic 8 Pro will be aimed at gamers.

The Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro will boot Android 13 out of the box. The smartphone was earlier spotted on the 3C certification website which revealed support for 165W fast charging. The Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro, as per TENAA listing, will feature a 6.8-inch OLED display. It is expected to offer a 165Hz refresh rate display.
