OnePlus had previously confirmed that global launch timeline of the upcoming OnePlus 12 would take place in early 2024 via teasers shared on X (formerly Twitter). It should be noted that the Max Jambor, a reliable tipster, had recently tipped the same launch date for the international launch of the device. The tipster had stated that OnePlus will debut the upcoming smartphones globally in India.
OnePlus 12 Series Launch Date
A report from Hardware Info, a publication from the Netherlands, revealed that OnePlus confirms launch date of the upcoming smartphones. During the Never Settle community event, Alexander Vanderhaeghe, Country Manager of OnePlus for the region, confirmed that the forthcoming OnePlus smartphones will arrive on January 23 in the region and other parts of the world.
The country manager also confirmed that OnePlus will debut the OnePlus 12R 5G smartphone at the launch event. OnePlus will also debut the Black variant of the OnePlus Open smartphone in Europe on the same date. The country manager adds OnePlus’ intention to expand the brand’s portfolio with IoT products.
Alexander also emphasises the gaming performance and cooling capabilities of the upcoming smartphones. OnePlus is also likely to launch the OnePlus AIRVOOC 50W wireless charger globally. OnePlus is tipped to rebrand the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone under the OnePlus 12R 5G moniker in the global markets.
The OEM is tipped to debut the Ace 3 smartphone in China in the second week of December. OnePlus will equip the smartphone with a similar BOE X1 Oriental Display with 1.5K resolution. The device is tipped to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 will be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging tech.
