OnePlus 7 Pro Alleged Real-life Images Revealing Key Specifications and Design Leaked

OnePlus 7 Pro Leaked Hands-On Wiebo Cover

OnePlus hasn’t exactly been secretive about its upcoming smartphone launch. We know that the brand intends to release two smartphones this year, the OnePlus 7 and a 5G capable handset. Interestingly, new hands-on images have been spotted online, claiming to be of a handset being called the OnePlus 7 Pro. Furthermore, leakster Ishan Agarwal confirms the existence of a Pro variant of the upcoming smartphone along with a OnePlus 7 Pro 5G model.

OnePlus 7 Hands-On, Specifications

The new hands-on pictures of the alleged OnePlus 7 Pro corroborate previous reports claiming the phone to feature a notch-less display.  One of these photos reveals the ‘About phone’ page that lists out key specifications of the handset. Interestingly, the in-lay image used on this page is of the OnePlus 6T, but this is probably because this is a pre-release unit and the software is just making use of a placeholder image for now.

Coming to the actual internals, the phone seems to be using a curved Super Optic (OLED) panel that measures 6.67-inches. This phone comes powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset that is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For now, the phone is running Android 9 Pie.

It was speculated that the new OnePlus phones would feature triple rear cameras. This leak backs up those claims as the phone is said to feature a 48MP + 16MP + 8MP setup. While it is not visible in these images, the phone likely sports a pop-up selfie camera. If we were to take a guess, the primary sensor here is a 48MP Sony IMX586, the likes of which we have seen recently with smartphones such as the Redmi Note 7 Pro.  The 16MP sensor is likely a wide-angle lens, and the 8MP could either be a telephoto or depth sensor.

OnePlus 7 Pro 5G To Also Launch Next Month

According to Ishan Agarwal, three variants of the OnePlus 7 will be released – GM1901, GM1903, GM1905. As for the OnePlus 7 Pro, we have four models – GM1911, GM1913, GM1915, and GM1917. Then we have the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G which gets the designation GM1920. This would mean only the last model will come with Qualcomm’s X50 modem for 5G connectivity. We are not sure when and if this model will make its way to the Indian market.

Interestingly, the leaked OnePlus 7 Pro images reveal its model number to be GM1915. As such, the previous two models will most probably be configured below 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, along with incrementally reduced prices.
