OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 8T Start Receiving Stable Android 14 Update in India

The new software update is available for those users who had enrolled for OxygenOS 14 Closed and Open beta version testing.

OnePlus released the stable Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 software update for the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 9RT smartphone in India a few days back. The update was released for the users who enrolled for the Closed and Open beta versions. Now, the company is seeding the Android 14-based OyxgenOS 14 software update for additional two devices which are the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T. OnePlus took to its community forum yesterday to confirm the release of Android 14 for the duo.

As mentioned by OnePlus on its community forum, the stable Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 software update is available for the OnePlus 9R and the OnePlus 8T in India region only. The Android 14 software update for both devices adds a File Dock, Content Extraction feature, and support for app-specific refresh rates.

The new software update also improves Shelf by adding more widget recommendations. It also improves photo and video-related permission management for safer access by apps. Here’s the full changelog of the new software release:

Before you proceed to update your devices to the latest Android 14 software version, make sure that your unit has a battery percentage above 30% level. Additionally, your device should have a minimum of 5GB of free storage.

Similar to the previous OxygenOS 14 builds, this new Android 14 build for the OnePlus 9R and the 8T is available for the users who participated in the Closed and Open beta testing versions. The update shall be available for all the users in India, once the company makes sure that the newly released build doesn’t contain any critical bugs.
