OnePlus 9RT Tipped to Launch in India on December 16th: Expected Price, Specifications

OnePlus launched the 9RT earlier this year in China. The company did not launch the T variants of its premium models but upgraded the 9R for the Chinese market. OnePlus is expected to launch the 9RT soon in India.

The company has not yet confirmed the official launch date of its affordable flagship in India. Rumours suggest that the device will make its debut in India sometime in December. Corroborating these reports is a new leak from tipster Max Jambor. The tipster claims that the OnePlus 9RT India launch will take place on December 16.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal had previously leaked the December launch timeline. Jambor has confirmed the report by revealing the exact launch date of the OnePlus smartphone. The 9RT could launch as OnePlus RT in India, according to reports. It is advised that readers take the leaked moniker rumours with a pinch of salt.

We can expect the device to launch with the same specs in India. Looking at the upgrades, the phone could be priced under Rs 50,000 in India. The variant launched in China features a Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 870 found on the OnePlus 9R. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. 

The device sports a 6.62-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED panel with 1300 nits of peak brightness. It comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 600Hz touch sampling rate. On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 16MP ultrawide camera. There is also a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout. 

The phone packs a 4500 mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It comes with Android 11-based ColorOS 12 in China. The India variant could feature OxygenOS 11 or 12 out of the box.
