OnePlus will debut the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone in the Chinese market soon. The upcoming device will launch in the global markets under the OnePlus 12R 5G moniker. OnePlus recently confirmed the launch of OnePlus 12 5G and OnePlus 12R 5G smartphones. The global launch date of the OnePlus 12 5G series smartphone was leaked recently. Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster, recently revealed the colour options of the upcoming Ace 3 smartphone.
OnePlus Ace 3, Aka OnePlus 12R 5G, to Continue Existing Camera Setup
The tipster divulges through a new post on Weibo that OnePlus has reportedly ditched the telephoto sensor with the upcoming Ace 3 smartphone. There were previous leaks that OnePlus will include a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. DCS reveals that the revised camera setup of the device will consist of a primary sensor, an ultrawide sensor, and a macro sensor.
OnePlus will equip the device with a 50MP Sony IMX 9xx primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The Camera FV 5 certification confirmed that the primary sensor will sport f/1.8 aperture and support Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). The 8MP ultrawide lens will sport f/2.2 aperture and support EIS.
The Camera FV 5 certification hints that there will be another 50MP sensor with the upcoming OnePlus 12R 5G smartphone. OnePlus might debut the Ace 3 smartphone in China with a macro sensor and telephoto sensor for the international markets. To recall, OnePlus rebranded the OnePlus Ace 2V smartphone for the global markets under the OnePlus Nord 3 moniker with a different primary sensor.
The tipster reiterates that OnePlus will equip the upcoming Ace smartphone with a 6.78-inch BOE X1 Oriental OLED screen with 1.5K resolution. OnePlus will use an LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate for the forthcoming Ace device. The display will have a peak brightness of 4500 nits and a PWM dimming rate of 2160Hz.
The BOE X1 display will have a centered punch hole cutout to house the 16MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. The CQC certification of the device confirmed the support for 100W wired fast charging tech. Digital Chat Station divulges that the device will be backed by a 5500mAh battery. OnePlus will ship the device with a curved screen and a metal frame.
The smartphone will be available in gray, blue, and gold colour options. Under the hood, the device will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The smartphone will run on Color OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. The international variant will ship with Oxygen OS 14 out of the box. The chipset will pair with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
