OnePlus rebranded the OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone under the OnePlus 11R 5G moniker in India and other international markets. A report claims that OnePlus will launch the Ace 3 smartphone soon in China, hinting at the possibility of an earlier launch. A previous leak divulged that OnePlus will debut the OnePlus 12 5G smartphone on January 23 in India. A Chinese retailer website has also revealed the expected launch date of the upcoming OnePlus Ace smartphone.
WHYLAB, a reliable tipster on Weibo, revealed that OnePlus will debut the forthcoming Ace smartphone in December in China. The smartphone will debut first in China ahead of the global launch. Previously, OnePlus launched the Ace 2 and OnePlus 11R 5G smartphones simultaneously in the Indian and Chinese markets.
An alleged screenshot from a Chinese retailer reveals that OnePlus will debut the device on December 17 in China. There were many previous reports which hinted at the launch of the forthcoming Ace 3 on the same date. The CQC certification of OnePlus Ace 5G reveals that the device will feature support for 100W wired fast charging tech.
The Camera FV 5 certification divulges that the forthcoming smartphone will sport a triple rear camera setup. The setup will comprise a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), 24.6mm focal length and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). The primary sensor will pair with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and EIS and a 32MP telephoto lens.
The device will sport a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 aperture and EIS. MySmartPrice previously spotted the upcoming Ace 3 smartphone in the GeekBench listing. The GeekBench listing reveals that the device will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The smartphone has scored 1597 points in single-core and 5304 points in multi-core tests. The chipset will pair with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The device will run on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box in China. The global variant of the device will ship with Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. OnePlus confirmed that the device will equip an AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution. The upcoming device is also tipped to equip a metal frame and gunmetal grey-glass body.
