OnePlus launched the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone in China and then globally and is now preparing to launch the Ace 3 Pro soon. Ahead of this, details regarding its chipset and RAM have been tipped on Weibo, suggesting that a launch will happen soon.
The Weibo post suggests that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, similar to the flagship OnePlus 12. Although, It is said to offer better performance in comparison to the flagship device. This will likely be paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. OnePlus will also continue to equip the smartphone with a curved AMOLED panel.
The Chinese smartphone brand will likely source the BOE X1 panel with the 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. For those who don’t know, this is also found on the vanilla Ace 3 smartphone.
The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro could feature a metal middle frame and a glass back. It could most likely resemble the Ace 3. Other specifications of the Ace 3 Pro are unknown. Hence, the above-mentioned details should be taken with a grain of salt.
There’s no word on when the launch will happen and whether or not it will reach India (given that the Ace 3 was rebranded as the OnePlus 12R) but this could happen in the first half of 2024. We will keep you in the loop once there’s more information, so, stay tuned.
