OnePlus, last month, launched the OnePlus Nord Buds 2 TWS alongside the Nord CE 3 Lite in the Indian market. The Nord Buds 2 is the first TWS under the Nord lineup to offer active noise cancellation. Now, it seems like the company might have another TWS under the Nord branding as we have spotted the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r moniker of Malaysia’s SIRIM database.
As per the SIRIM database listing, the upcoming OnePlus Nord Buds 2r will have the model number E510A. To those unaware, the model number of the recently launched Nord Buds 2 is E508A. Let us take a closer look at the details.
The OnePlus Nord Buds 2r with the model number E510A have made an appearance on SIRIM certification website. This is the first time when the upcoming TWS has been spotted on a certification website. The listing doesn’t reveal anything about the upcoming Nord Buds 2r.
However, based on the moniker, we speculate that the Nord Buds 2r might be a cheaper variant of the Nord Buds 2. The company might remove a feature or two from the Nord Buds 2 and might call it Buds 2r. The company has done that in the past with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2R. The Nord Buds 2 earbuds pack a 41mAh battery that lasts for around 7 hours on a charge. The charging case packs an additional 480mAh battery that provides around 36 hours of music playback.
