OnePlus Pad has been finally unveiled in India today. This is the first ever Android tablet from OnePlus and this is a mid-range device with competitive pricing and interesting specs and features for the price. For the last few years, we have seen Samsung dominate the Android tablet segment and in the last couple of years, we have seen brands like Realme, Xiaomi, Redmi, OPPO, and more jump onto the bandwagon. Now, in 2023, we have OnePlus taking on other brands.

The OnePlus Pad was launched in India today along with OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, and more at the Cloud 11 event in New Delhi. The first-ever tablet from OnePlus is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity series SoC and comes with a large battery pack. In addition, the tab also comes with accessories like a stylus and magnetic keyboard. Let’s take a detailed look at the OnePlus Pad.

OnePlus Pad: Price in India and Availability

The pre-order for the device will start in April and the company did not announce the pricing during the launch. The pricing for the OnePlus Stylo, the stylus and OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard will also be announced later.

OnePlus Pad: Specifications and Features

Starting off with the screen, the OnePlus Pad features a large 11.61-inch LCD screen with a 144Hz screen refresh rate, 2800 x 2000 pixels resolution, 500 nits brightness, a 7:5 aspect ratio, HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision support. The tab comes with a 2.5D curved metal unibody design and is 6.54mm thick. Overall the tablet weighs 552 grams.

The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The Dimensity 9000 SoC is a performance-centric chipset, which is built on a 4nm process. It has 1 core Cortex-X2 at 3050 MHz, 3 cores Cortex-A710 at 2850 MHz, and 4 cores Cortex-A510 at 1800 MHz

In the battery department, the Pad comes with a large 9,510mAh battery with support for a 67W SUPERVOOC wired fast charging. A 60-minute charge can provide almost 90% charge. This fast charging is one of the best we have seen on any tablet in recent times. As for the cameras, the device comes with a 13MP rear camera and there is an 8MP selfie camera on the front.

The tablet runs on Android 13 based on OxygenOS 13. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, quad speaker setup, Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, Omni-bearing sound field. The tab also comes with auto-connect with OnePlus devices for OTP verification, cellular sharing and rich text messages, file sharing, and more.
