OnePlus has publicly confirmed that it will be foraying into the smart TV sometime later this year. Despite that, the elusive OnePlus TV has not appeared on any major certification portals as of yet. However, we’ve spotted a listing of the OnePlus TV today on Bluetooth SIG. This finally gives us a breakthrough as it seems OnePlus is now working towards certifying its product to ready for an eventual launch.

The listing contains a number of models which we believe could be alluding to different sizes of the OnePlus TV. Hence, there’s 55Q1IN, 43Q2IN, 65Q2CN, 75Q2CN, 75Q2US and a lot more that could probably mean the OnePlus TV will have sizes from 43-inches to 75-inches. Also, the “CN” “IN” “US” designation reveals models for specific countries such as China, India and the US. The listing also reveals support for Bluetooth 5.0 on these TVs but there’s not much more than that.

The OnePlus TV Bluetooth certification follows the OnePlus Remote Control which we reportedly spotted on the same portal early last month with RC-001A model number.

There’s not much information regarding the specifications of this new product category from the company. Current information suggests the OnePlus Android TV will be a premium device. According to prolific tipster Ishan Agarwal, the OnePlus TV will be equipped with LCD panels instead of OLED panels. The OnePlus TV will also act as a smart hub for other devices like smartphones and other devices making it easier to control them with the TV as a hub.

The exact launch timeframe is still unknown but last we heard OnePlus could launch it by the end of 2019. India will be among the first countries to get the OnePlus TV as has been officially confirmed earlier. We expect to see more certifications soon as we head towards the end of Q3 in 2019.
