OnePlus Watch 2 India Launch Could Happen Soon
The OnePlus Watch 2 with the “OPWWE231” model number has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards website. This listing hints that the company might be looking to launch the new smartwatch in the upcoming weeks. Based on previous leaks, the Watch 2 from OnePlus is expected to launch in early 2024, which could happen alongside the launch of the OnePlus 12.
In India, OnePlus has already established itself as a prominent smartphone brand and thanks to its budget and premium offerings, the company has also made its name in the audio world with the likes of Nord Buds, Buds Z series, and Buds Pro series devices. With the launch of the OnePlus Watch 2 in India, the smartphone maker could make its name in the premium smartwatch segment with the likes of Apple and Samsung.
OnePlus Watch 2: What We Know So Far
While there is no official confirmation yet, there are already a couple of specs that excite us. Firstly, the Watch 2 is expected to come with Wear OS instead of custom OS 一 this is a big move as the Watch 2 will have features like Google Play, more app support, native WhatsApp, Google Assistant, and much more. Secondly, the Watch is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, which is specially built for wearables.
