The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is the more premium offering of the two models launched at Unpacked 2023 in South Korea. The device has been launched with two screen sizes — 43mm and 47mm. Both models offer Bluetooth and LTE connectivity options. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 43mm variant with Bluetooth connectivity has a starting price of $399 (roughly Rs 32,700). The 47mm variant of the same has a starting price of $429 (roughly Rs 35,200). It comes in two colours — Black and Silver.

The Galaxy Watch 6 is smaller in comparison. It has been launched with 40mm and 44mm dial options. The 40mm Bluetooth-only variant is priced at $299 (roughly Rs 24,500), whereas the 44mm variant has a starting price of $329 (roughly Rs 27,000). The Galaxy Watch 6 comes in Graphite, Silver and Gold colour options.

The new Watch 6 series comes with many new health and fitness-focused features. These features are enabled with the help of multiple sensors, such as Samsung BioActive Sensor (Optical Heart Rate + Electrical Heart Signal + Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis), Temperature Sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Light Sensor, 3D Hall sensor, etc.

The Galaxy Watch 6 series now offers an in-depth analysis of Sleep Score Factors, such as total sleep time, sleep cycle, awake time, plus physical and mental recovery, to help users understand the quality of sleep received each night. There is also the new enhanced Sleep Coaching feature, which enables users to put sleep insights into action with tailored instructions, tips and reminders accessible on both their wrist and paired smartphone.

There is also a new Body Composition feature, which offers key physical measurements like skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body water and body fat percentage. The Galaxy Watch 6 series also offers a new Personalised Heart Rate Zone feature that analyses individual physical capabilities and defines five optimal running intensity levels to help users set their own goals based on their ability.

Added to existing blood pressure and electrocardiogram monitoring, the new Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature helps users understand their heart health more comprehensively by checking for heart rhythms suggestive of Atrial fibrillation (AFib) in the background – even while asleep.

As expected, there are a few ecosystem features that work best with Samsung devices. Samsung Wallet on Galaxy Watch 6 combines Samsung Pay with Samsung Pass to incorporate more of the user's wallet in their watch. Some third-party apps like WhatsApp, Gmail and Google Calendar have also been optimised for the watch.
