OnePlus Watch 2 Receives FCC Certification, Battery Capacity, Charging Details Revealed Ahead of Launch

OnePlus has confirmed the debut of the OnePlus Watch 2 at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2024 event. The BBK-owned brand has also revealed the launch date of the smartwatch in India. Today, we have spotted the upcoming smartwatch in FCC certification ahead of its scheduled debut.

The FCC certification obtained by the forthcoming smartwatch divulges the OPWWE231 model number. The database confirms that the Watch 2 smartwatch will be backed by a 500mAh battery.

The 500mAh battery of the upcoming smartwatch will bear the model number BLW013. The smartwatch will support both a rated voltage of 3.89V and a limited voltage of 4.48V.

OnePlus will debut the smartwatch with Bluetooth, with a frequency range of 2402 MHz to 2480 MHz. According to the database, the upcoming Watch 2 will support Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

The design schematics are also revealed through the FCC database, which confirms the sensors of the upcoming smartwatch. The schematics also confirms the placement of the GPS and Wi-Fi sensors in the Watch 2.

The testing documents obtained through the FCC database confirm the presence of a charger with the model number AK903HK. We have spotted the charger in the TUV Rehinland certification, which confirms the support for 10W charging.

OnePlus Watch 2 Pre-Reserve Pass is Live in India

OnePlus has started accepting orders for the pre-reserve pass for the upcoming OnePlus Watch 2. The pre-reserve pass costs Rs 99, and the buyers will be eligible for a discount of Rs 1,000 on the smartwatch. OnePlus will also offer the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC as a freebie for pre-reserve pass customers.

OnePlus Watch 2 Expected Specifications

OnePlus will likely debut the smartwatch with Google’s Wear OS platform, contrary to its predecessor, which came with the RTOS-based operating system. The watch will likely feature a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a circular design. A Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC is said to power the upcoming Watch 2.
