Lenovo quietly introduced the K9 Note budget Android smartphone in the Indian market last month. It now appears the company may soon launch another new K-series smartphone. An upcoming Lenovo smartphone bearing model number L38111 has been granted certification by the NBTC agency in Thailand, revealing its marketing name. In addition to the Lenovo L38111, the agency has also certified an upcoming OPPO smartphone with model number CPH1925.
Lenovo K10 Note May Launch Soon in Select Markets
The Lenovo L38111 NBTC certification tells us the smartphone will be launched as the Lenovo K10 Note. In China, however, the smartphone was recently launched as the Z6 Youth. Since the model number is identical for the Z6 Youth and K10 Note, it looks like Lenovo plans to launch the Z6 Youth as K10 Note in markets outside China. We can expect the K10 Note to be identical to the Z6 Youth in terms of hardware specifications.
The Lenovo Z6 Youth sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display panel with Full HD+ resolution and HDR10 support. It has an octa-core 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset running under its hood, coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. On the back of the mid-range smartphone is a 16MP + 8MP + 5MP triple-camera setup with 2x optical zoom. For selfies, the handset is equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera. Fueling the internals of the Z6 Youth is a large 4050mAh non-removable battery with 15W fast charging support. When it comes to software, Z6 Youth runs on Lenovo’s ZUI 11 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The Lenovo K10 Note has already bagged certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as well as Singapore’s IMDA, so we can expect it to be made official very soon.
OPPO A1s to Feature Waterdrop Screen, Dual Rear Cameras
In addition to confirming the name of the phone, the CPH1925 listing on the NBTC website also includes several images showing the OPPO A1s from various angles. The images reveal the OPPO A1s will have a waterdrop notch display instead of the notch-less 18:9 aspect ratio display on its predecessor. On the back of the phone, we can see a horizontally-stacked dual-camera setup along with an LED flash. No fingerprint scanner is visible on the back of the phone, which suggests the A1s may only offer Face Unlock for biometric authentication. In addition to NBTC, the OPPO A1s has received certification from the EEC, TKDN, Wi-Fi Alliance, as well as Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). According to the CPH1925 Bluetooth certificate, it will feature a 6.1-inch HD+ display and run on an octa-core chipset from MediaTek clocked at 2.0 GHz. The OPPO A1s is likely to be impressive in terms of battery life as well, thanks to a 4000mAh cell.
