OPPO has launched a new A-series smartphone. The company has launched the OPPO A58 5G as its new budget 5G smartphone. The device is currently available only in China. However, we can expect OPPO to launch its 5G smartphone soon in other markets, including India. The A58 5G has been a rumour mill-favourite before it was officially launched. The phone gets a slightly new design compared to the outgoing A57 series.

The device is available in three colours. OPPO has launched the phone with a single storage option. The phone also features a MediaTek processor and sports a dual-camera setup on the back. Let’s take a look at the OPPO A58 5G price, specifications and other details.

OPPO A58 5G: Price

OPPO has launched the A58 5G in a single storage option in China. The 5G smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 19,200). The phone is available in three colours – Breeze Purple, Sea Blue and Star Black.

OPPO A58 5G: Specifications

In terms of specifications, the A58 5G features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels. The phone sports a waterdrop notch at the top of the display. There are fairly thin bezels around the display, except for the thick chin. The display also supports a 90Hz refresh rate and offers 600 nits of peak brightness.

On the back, there are two large circular cutouts. The phone features a dual-camera setup on the back. There is a 50MP main camera sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the waterdrop notch houses an 8MP front camera.

The device draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood. The chipset is a budget 5G processor found in several smartphones in India available for around Rs 13,000. OPPO has launched the phone with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. There is support for storage expansion via a microSD card. The phone also supports 5GB of Extended RAM on top of the physical 8GB RAM.

For an enhanced multimedia experience, the A58 5G comes with a dual speaker setup. Its flat frame design is made of plastic. The volume buttons are on the left edge, whereas the power button is located on the right side.

The device packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging out of the box. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
