Oppo Reno 8 5G Spotted on Multiple Certification Sites, Global Launch Likely Soon

The Oppo Reno 8 series devices were launched in China back in May and now it looks like the company is gearing up to launch the Reno 8 series devices globally. In China, the brand had unveiled the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+, Reno 8 Pro, and the vanilla Reno 8. Now, the vanilla Reno 8 5G device has been now spotted on multiple certifications websites hinting at an imminent launch of the device.

The phone has been spotted on NBTC certification, which confirms the moniker of the device. Apart from this database, the Reno 8 has cleared a bunch of other certifications like the BIS, EEC, GCF, FCC, and TKDN. The phone is tipped to launch in India later this month as well. Oppo Reno 8 Spotted on Multiple Certifications

The Reno 8 with a CPH2359 model number has been listed on the NBTC database, which confirms the phone’s moniker as Oppo Reno 8 5G. Further, the same device has been spotted on FCC revealing a 2,250mAh battery capacity (dual cell), which means the phone will offer a 4,500mAh battery. Further, the FCC database also confirms the phone will run on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12. The phone will measure 7.67mm thin and weigh 179 grams.

Lastly, the Reno 8 5G with the same model number has also cleared EEC, TKDN, GCF and BIS certification. Since the phone has been bagged several global as well as India certifications, we can expect the phone to launch in some global markets as well as in India soon.

Oppo Reno 8: Specifications

The vanilla Reno 8 5G comes with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 800 nits and the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The device offers up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Dimensity 1300 SoC. Further, the Reno 8 comes with a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP b&w sensor, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor on the front for selfies.

The handset comes with a 4,500mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging, the same as the other phones. This device also comes with a MariSilicon X chip. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Type-C port, 7.67mm thickness and 179-gram weight.
