OPPO Reno7 Pro Plus Might Not See the Light of Day: Here’s What You Need to Know

The Oppo Reno7 series is quite popular. Most of the Reno series phones sell well in India, and Oppo introduced Oppo Reno6 Pro 5G Diwali Edition recently, ahead of the festival of lights. The Reno7 series from Oppo has been creating some buzz recently, and this time, Oppo was expected to launch three Reno smartphones under the Ren7 lineup- Reno7, Reno7 Pro, and the Reno7 Pro Plus. Oppo has been introducing Pro Plus models since the Reno5 series was launched, and that continued up to Reno6 Pro Plus. But it looks like Reno7 Pro Plus won’t see the light of the day.

Digital Chat Station, a popular tipster has been revealing some information regarding the Reno7 Series and he said that the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro are quite improved compared to their ancestors, in terms of camera and display. However, he hasn’t heard about the Reno7 Pro Plus yet and he also hinted that the Reno7 Pro Plus may not even exist. Recently, the front and rear panel design of the Reno7 Pro leaked online. That confirms the existence of the device. The Reno7 Pro is said to come with a flat display with thin bezels around it and a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner, which will hold the selfie camera.

As of now, we know that the Oppo Reno7 will be quite similar to its predecessor in terms of design, but will carry some upgrades here and there. The phone may come with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor. Another source has claimed that the phone will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 SoC. That particular source also says that the Reno7 Pro and the Reno7 Pro Plus will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoCs, respectively.

Now, some of the pieces of information from a well-known tipster and the other source seem to be contradictory and there is no clarity regarding the Pro Plus model of Reno7. However, in India, Oppo never launches the Pro Plus models of Reno series phones, so until the company officially makes an announcement regarding the Reno7, these speculations will just continue floating around for a while.
